It’s going to be 8 years of weddedness this May (is that even a word?!? it is now)
I’ll have to really sit down and write about that…it’s been a long and spindly road. Marriage isn’t for the faint of heart and it isn’t for quitters. Well, I guess it is if you don’t care if you get divorced and then go for it! But if, like me, you want to get married and stay married, you’d best have your emotional house in order.
Marriage brings it all out: all your crap, all your childhood “issues,” all your lamest qualities you will surely deny in the same fight again and again. Ack-I said this is for another post. How about the happy parts? When I’m in a marriage moody moment I listen to “our song” to remind me of the blissful, whirlwind, carefree and heady beginnings that fill up your entire molecular structure when you’re falling in lurve.
So I can breathe you in
Hold you in
I know you’ve always been
Out of your head
Out of my head I sang”
